Mike Curtis Woodwind Performer and Composer

	MIKE CURTIS (b. 1952 ) Woodwind Performer and Composer For 25 years Mike Curtis has performed as a professional musician: as a bassoonist with such groups as the Eugene Symphony, the Arrieu Wind Quintet and the Mexico State Symphony, and on other woodwinds with his own Mike Curtis Klezmer Quartet, the duo Oboe Madness, and many jazz groups. During that same period he has taught the woodwind instruments and ensembles at several Northwest universities. Composition for Mike, however, began at age 40 with duets written for Oboe Madness. Since then he has completed a large body of works for woodwind and string ensembles, published by Advance Music of Germany and MSS Publishing of the USA.
